Dr. Sharla Horton-Williams is a 20-year educator and leader with a passion for equity and social justice. She has served as a teacher, teacher leader, assistant principal, and principal in private, public charter, and traditional public schools. She also has extensive non-profit management experience with various Dallas-Fort Worth area education-adjacent organizations. Sharla is a respected educator, sought-after presenter and public speaker, and trusted community leader. She currently serves as a full-time education consultant and also holds volunteer committee and board leadership roles with Trinity Valley School, Leadership ISD, Educational First Steps, and Trinity Metro, the Fort Worth-area transit authority. Sharla earned a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas, a Master of Education from Lamar University, and a Doctor of Education from Texas A&M University where she researched the school leader's role in educational equity and justice. She is an avid blogger, mom of 3, dog mom of two, and loves tacos, travel, and Target.
